Prayer by
Saint Thomas Aquinas
Down in adoration falling,
Lo! the sacred host we hail;
Lo! o'er ancient forms departing,
Newer rites of graces prevail;
Faith for all defects supplying,
Where the feeble senses fail.
To the everlasting Father,
And the Son, who reigns on high,
With the Holy Ghost proceeding
Forth from each eternally,
Be salvation, honour, blessing,
Might and endless majesty.
Amen.
V. Thou gavest them bread from heaven.
R. And therein was sweetness of every kind.
Let Us Pray.
O God, Who, under this wonderful Sacrament,
hast left unto us the memorials of Thy Passion;
grant us, we beseech Thee,
so to venerate the sacred mysteries of Thy Body and Thy Blood,
that we may constantly experience within us the fruit of Thy redemption.
Who livest and reignest...

Doubt - Saint Thomas
Lord Jesus, Saint Thomas doubted Your resurrection until he touched Your wounds. After Pentecost, You called him to become a missionary in India, but he doubted again and said no. He changed his mind only after being taken into slavery by a merchant who happened to be going to India. Once he was cured of his doubt, You freed him and he began the work You had called him to do. As the patron saint against doubt, I ask him to pray for me when I question the direction in which You are leading me. Forgive me for mistrusting You, Lord, and help me to grow from the experience. Saint Thomas, pray for me. Amen.

Student Prayer
Saint Thomas Aquinas
Creator of all things, true source
of Light and Wisdom, lofty
source of all Being, graciously
let a ray of Your Brilliance
penetrate into the darkness of
my understanding and take from
me the double darkness in
which I have been born, sin and
ignorance.
Give me a sharp sense of
understanding, a retentive
memory, and the ability to grasp
things correctly and
fundamentally. Grant me the
talent of being exact in my
explanations, and the ability to
express myself with thoroughness and charm.
Point out the beginning, direct
the progress, help in the
completion.
Through Christ, Our Lord

Saint Thomas Aquinas' Prayer of Thanksgiving After Communion
I give Thee thanks, O holy Lord, Father Almighty, Eternal God, that Thou hast vouchsafed, for no merit of my own, but of the mere condescension of Thy mercy, to satisfy me, a sinner and Thine unworthy servant, with the Precious Blood of Thy Son our Lord Jesus Christ. I implore Thee, let not this Holy Communion be to me an increase of guilt unto my punishment, but an availing plea unto pardon and forgiveness. Let it be to me the armor of faith and the shield of good will. Grant that it may work the extinction of my vices, the rooting out of concupiscence and lust, and the increase within me of charity and patience, of humility and obedience. Let it be my strong defense against the snares of all my enemies, visible and invisible; the stilling and the calm of all my impulses, carnal and spiritual; my indissoluble union with Thee the one and true God, and a blessed consummation at my last end. And I beseech thee that Thou wouldst vouchsafe to bring me, sinner as I am, to that ineffable banquet where Thou, with the Son and the Holy Ghost, art to Thy saints true and unfailing light, fullness and content, joy for evermore, gladness without alloy, consummate and everlasting bliss. Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer Before Study
Prayer of Saint Thomas Aquinas

O ineffable Creator,
Who, out of the treasure of Thy wisdom,
hast ordained three hierarchies of Angels,
and placed them in wonderful order above the heavens,
and hast most wisely distributed the parts of the world;
Thou, Who are called the true fountain of light and wisdom,
and the highest beginning,
vouchsafe to pour upon the darkness of my understanding,
in which I was born,
the double beam of Thy brightness,
removing from me all darkness of sin and ignorance.
Thou, Who makest eloquent the tongue of the dumb,
instruct my tongue,
and pour on my lips the grace of Thy blessing.
Give me quickness of understanding,
capacity of retaining,
subtlety of interpreting,
facility in learning,
and copious grace of speaking.
Guide my going in,
direct my going forward,
accomplish my going forth;
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
