Firm Resolution
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Prayers in the Acts of the Apostles
After Peter's release:
"Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and the earth, the sea, and everything in them...grant to your servants, to speak your words with all boldness while you stretch out your hands to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus." Acts 4:24, 29-30
St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr:
"Look!...I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!...Lord, Jesus, receive my spirit...Lord, do not hold this sin against them." Acts 7:56, 59, 60
The Christians of Caesarea:
"The Lord's will be done." Acts 21: 14
