Responsary of Saint Anthony

REFRAIN: The sea obeys and fetters break And lifeless limbs Thou dost restore Treasures lost are found again When young and old, Thine aid implore.

If you dare to ask for a miracle Death, error, and all calamity, Leprosy and demons flee, And health succeeds infirmity.

REFRAIN All dangers vanish at Thy prayer And direst need doth quickly flee Let those who know Thy power proclaim Let Paduans say, These are of Thee.

REFRAIN To Father, Son, may glory be And Holy Spirit eternally.

REFRAIN Pray for us, Holy Anthony.

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Saint Anthony, Chastity

Saint Anthony,

Lily of purity,

banish from me,

the sins of impurity,

protect my chastity,

and restore my virginity.

Amen.

Saint Anthony Charity Prayer

Dear Saint Anthony, God wants us to see Christ, our brother, in everyone and love Him truly in word and in deed.

God wills that we share with others the joy of His boundless love.

Saint Anthony, Generator of Charity, remember me in the Father's presence, that I may be generous in sharing the joy of His love.

Remember also the special intentions I now entrust to you.

Saint Anthony Prayer

St. Anthony, Help me find ways to honor God's blessings by showing my love for all of God's creatures.

Share your strength that I may cope with the trials and troubles of daily life.

You, through whose voice the Word of God was preached, intercede for my need (mention your special request here).

Powerful Patron, be with me always and teach me to reach out in love and support to others.

Amen.

Saint Anthony's Prayer for Wisdom

Oh Light of the World, Infinite God, Father of Eternity, giver of Wisdom and Knowledge, and ineffable dispenser of every Spiritual Grace; who knowest all things before they are made, who makest the darkness and the light; put forth Thy hand and touch my mouth, and make it as a sharp sword to utter eloquently Thy Words.

Make my tongue, Oh Lord, as a chosen arrow, to declare faithfully Thy Wonders.

Put Thy Spirit, Oh Lord, in my heart, that I may perceive; in my soul, that I may retain; and in my conscience, that I may meditate.

Do thou lovingly, holily, mercifully, clemently and gently inspire me with Thy Grace. Do Thou teach, guide and strengthen the comings in and goings out of my senses and my thoughts.

And let Thy discipline instruct me even to the end, and the Counsel of the Most High help me through Thy Infinite Wisdom and Mercy, Amen

Unfailing Prayer to St. Anthony

St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and charity for his creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I ask you to obtain for me the favors that I seek (mention your request here).

The answer to my prayer may require a miracle, even so, you are the Saint of Miracles.

O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was full of sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Infant Jesus, who loved to be held in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever by yours.
